About A Charlie’s Home

A thirty-three piece utensil set is excellent value on the day you move in and poor value ever afterwards, because most drawers settle down to using the same four tools.

So A Charlie's Home carries both ends of that argument honestly. There are the full sets with their own holders — fifteen, thirty-three and forty-one pieces in silicone and wood — for furnishing a kitchen from nothing in a single order. And there are the individual, properly made pieces for replacing the one spatula or pair of tongs that finally gave out after years of use.

The range covers the hand tools that see daily service: silicone spatulas and turners, nylon and teak potato mashers, meat choppers for ground beef, locking tongs, whisks, pan scrapers, mesh strainers, a pastry blender, and mandoline-style vegetable choppers for the prep that takes the longest.

Everything here is safe on a coated pan. There is no bare metal edge on this shelf that will score a nonstick surface, which is the single most common way a good pan gets ruined. Where a piece is wood, it wants hand washing and drying; where it is silicone or nylon, the dishwasher is fine. The listings say which.

Orders are handled from 2251 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States. We are open Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sat 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Sun closed.
